Is Google's #AppTuesday a Secret Gist Marketing Campaign?

Last month, Smartsheet and Gist entered into a cage match focused on generating the most customers from the newly available Google Apps Marketplace. Both Concur and Napera have asked to be included in the bet. Like us, I assume they’re interested in winning free versions of Gist’s product and free beer for their teams.

Google’s App Marketplace team posted a clever poke at Microsoft’s routine Tuesday patch-upgrade of Windows software in this post and with this video:

They then challenged folks to recommend their favorite app from the Google Apps Marketplace. The primary Google spokesperson for the Marketplace then tweeted his choice of Gist.

So to Todd Hooper at Napera, and Steve and Rajiv Singh at Concur, be warned, T.A. McCann is competing with an inside track.
