Briefly describe your team.

We are a 10 person company divided into three departments: sales/marketing, solutions and operations, development.

How are you using Smartsheet.com?

I use Smartsheet more as a management tool than a project management tool. The problem I faced was keeping abreast of simultaneous projects as well as ensuring that basic operational and management issues were being handled in a timely manner. Smartsheet provides an easy way to interact with managers – even if remote – so that I know the status of what needs to be done and when.
As managers are using Smartsheet to interact with me, they are beginning to use it for their own teams and project management as well.

When did you start with us?

September 2006

What issue/s were you looking to solve?

Visibility, keeping everyone on the same project management schedule, and monitoring action items.
There was no extra hardware or heavy software that we had to download. Also, it is so simple and easy to use and the price was great.

What were you using before?

Groove and Excel

What results have you achieved from using Smartsheet?

From a management perspective, the key result is that very little “falls through the cracks.” Everyone knows that if it’s logged in Smartsheet, they will be held responsible – even if they are remote.
