Manager, Renewal Management

Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Manager of Renewal Management to help define and build our new renewal management team. As the first leader of this new Renewal Management team, you will create and promote your vision on how to support a high-growth organization while maintaining a focus on an ideal customer experience. We will look to you to build this team, processes and procedures while working with internal partners within finance, sales, customer success and operations.

You will report to the VP of Customer Success and Solution Services and will be based in either Bellevue, WA and Boston, MA.

You Will:

  • Define and build the Renewal Management function at Smartsheet
  • Oversee all assigned contract renewals, which includes working with customers and internal team players to ensure accurate execution
  • Identify areas for innovation and build them by creating and updating new functional processes, playbooks and supporting materials
  • Enlist the efforts of sales reps, customer success managers, order management, and senior management to accelerate the contract renewal process and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyze customer renewal trends and recommend approaches
  • Build a team of Renewal Managers responsible for overseeing the contract renewal process
  • Partner with internal departments to share customer feedback around products and experiences
  • Build trust with direct reports, provide developmental feedback for continuous improvement
  • Focus on coaching and career growth for renewal managers by developing their long term personal and professional goal
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned

You Have:

  • History of building and growing new teams
  • Clear history of coaching and developing individual performers
  • Passion around innovation with an optimistic mindset
  • Strong analytical skills to identify team trends and patterns to drive results
  • Familiarity of interaction between contracts, terms of service and legal requirements
  • Passion for helping individual performers meet their personal and professional goals
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of customer facing experience
