Partner Account Manager

We are looking for a Partner Account Manager that is an energetic, decisive and experienced professional with a 'get it done no matter what' approach. The ideal candidate will have experience working with or at typical channel partners (LARs or VARs and Distributors), but preferably in their cloud business. There is an opportunity to add a ton of value in this fast-paced opportunity in an unstructured environment, balancing partner and Smartsheet priorities.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Partner Sales and is based at Smartsheet headquarters in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities:

  • Account manage channel partners - to grow their overall Smartsheet business (there is an individual quota)
  • Build strong partnerships across partners’ organizations - build executive sponsorship of Smartsheet + strong working relationships with key sales teams within partner organizations
  • Assist partner’s sales teams in identifying new customer opportunities (either with new customers or within existing customers)
  • Work with Smartsheet direct sales team on expansion opportunities with existing customers, as well as work on joint sales with customers of new domains
  • Collaborate with solutions engineer (SE) and marketing to enable growth of a partner’s Smartsheet business
  • Upskill partner sales teams on Smartsheet offering (solution, partner offering and key new features)
  • Encourage partner sales teams to build competencies around Smartsheet to the benefit of a partner’s total business
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop business strategies for lead generation
  • Work with partners to establish a Smartsheet business plan and pipeline review cadence
  • Be the “voice of the partner” inside Smartsheet and advocate on their behalf

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience, including experience working with/at channel partner organizations; cloud emphasis preferred
  • Fluent German and/or Arabic required
  • Experience with Cloud and SaaS solutions are required
  • Proven ability to sell cloud solutions (interview will require a pitch and demo)
  • Competent in cloud-based email, calendar and collaboration tools like, O365, G Suite and Skype.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with partners, customers, and internal cross-functional teams including Sales and Marketing
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced unstructured environment, with many moving parts and things changing rapidly
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the channel partner organization
  • Experience in business development as well as in developing joint value propositions a strong plus
  • Ability to be a strong coach- willing to encourage the channel partner to lead on sales efforts
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with an upbeat and assertive personality
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast moving environment
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in other European languages preferred but not required
