Smartsheet Announces Data Integration with Salesforce

Smartsheet bolsters its enterprise applicability by eliminating time spent manually exporting and importing Salesforce data by automating real-time collaborative work on customer data across the organization

BELLEVUE, Wash. – October 3, 2016 – Companies using Smartsheet, the world’s leading SaaS platform for managing and automating collaborative work, and Salesforce, the #1 CRM platform, can now realize increased visibility and a more seamless work experience through the new Smartsheet for Salesforce integration. The integration, generally available October 14 and being showcased at Dreamforce 2016 (Oct. 4-7), is the latest example of Smartsheet’s commitment to helping teams and enterprises work better through integration with other mission-critical cloud applications, enabling automation, secure collaboration, and data sharing.

“As a customer of both Salesforce and Smartsheet, we couldn’t be more thrilled about the launch of this integration,” said Cory Lyda, District Manager of Dent Wizard, North America’s largest automotive reconditioning company. “Already, Smartsheet has been the game-changing work management tool that our team has been looking for. With a management team spread across multiple states, the ability to integrate all of our projects through one system has truly changed the way we do business.”

The integration takes data traditionally siloed inside the Salesforce platform and makes it securely accessible, through Smartsheet’s familiar interface, to non-Salesforce users including executives, account managers, marketing managers, and finance managers. Whether edited in Smartsheet or Salesforce, customer data is automatically synchronized, ensuring all stakeholders have access to the most up-to-date information. By eliminating the need to manually export or import Salesforce data, sales teams can focus on building better customer relationships, and other teams have easy access to real-time information to rapidly serve customer needs.

“With Smartsheet for Salesforce, world-class work management and automation meets world-class CRM—a powerful combination to help teams and enterprises deliver their best work,” said Mark Mader, Smartsheet CEO. “This is an excellent example of how Smartsheet’s enterprise-ready platform, supported by a robust partner ecosystem, can automate manual workflows to help organizations streamline operations and improve throughput.”

Smartsheet for Salesforce creates a more powerful Salesforce experience through:

  • Increased Productivity: Synchronize Salesforce data to Smartsheet to make single or bulk changes using Smartsheet’s intuitive spreadsheet interface. Smartsheet data is automatically synchronized back into Salesforce, giving everyone greater visibility.
  • Enhanced Automation: With real-time data synchronization between Salesforce and Smartsheet, workflows can be automated instead of relying on manual updates and reporting.
  • Simplified Collaborative Work: Collaboration and sharing across Salesforce and non-Salesforce users becomes seamless. All data is updated in real-time and shared across relevant teams.
  • Accelerated Execution: Link standard and custom Salesforce objects to projects and processes in Smartsheet and set alerts to kick off downstream actions more rapidly.

Smartsheet for Salesforce is a premium capability available for additional fees to Smartsheet customers with Team and Enterprise plans. You can find Smartsheet for Salesforce in the AppExchange and contact us for more information.
