Smartsheet Gov Achieves ‘FedRAMP Ready’ Designation

by Ignacio Martinez

Update: Since this post was published, Smartsheet Gov has moved to "FedRAMP In-Process" status.

I’m pleased to announce that Smartsheet Gov has achieved “FedRAMP Ready” status as part of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). Built on AWS GovCloud (US), Smartsheet Gov is the only work execution platform listed in the FedRAMP marketplace for federal agencies and government contractors.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. To support its mission, FedRAMP has created a marketplace to increase the use of cloud services and facilitate digital transformations across government agencies. Gaining admittance to the marketplace is one of the most complex and stringent compliance processes a cloud services provider can undertake.

This latest milestone follows our announcement that Smartsheet has been selected for the FedRAMP Connect Program, and prioritized by the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) for FedRAMP authorization based on demand from federal government agencies.

Empowering Departments, Bureaus, and Agencies to Scale Securely

To keep up with the pace of work today, government agencies need a secure way to organize and scale processes that meet their compliance needs.

Smartsheet currently enables more than 600 federal, state and local bureaus and agencies to collaborate across silos and create transparency in work processes, empowering government agencies to deliver on commitments to better serve citizens and communities. Customers include the City of Los Angeles, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and the City of Detroit.

FedRAMP Ready status brings Smartsheet one step closer to helping federal agencies simplify and modernize their workflows and processes, and deliver services more efficiently, raising the level of service they’re providing their constituents and communities in the process.
