Smartsheet Expands Executive Team With SVP of Worldwide Field Operations

B2B Technology Veteran From NetSuite, Oracle to Play Key Role in Accelerating Smartsheet’s Growth

BELLEVUE, Wash. – October 13, 2016Smartsheet, the world’s leading SaaS platform for managing and automating collaborative work, today announced the addition of Mike Arntz as the company’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations. In this new role, the 30-year enterprise software veteran will oversee all sales, support and services functions to drive accelerated adoption of Smartsheet’s enterprise-ready platform.

Arntz is a proven leader with nearly three decades of experience in enterprise technology sales, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas at NetSuite where he helped drive adoption of Netsuite’s cloud-based business management software. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at cloud application provider Kenandy, and spent 20 years in sales at Oracle Corp. leading enterprise application and technology sales.

“Mike is an outstanding addition to the Smartsheet team,” said Mark Mader, CEO of Smartsheet. “As Smartsheet further extends its reach into the enterprise, we wanted someone with a deep understanding of the B2B technology space who can help us seize the market opportunity and drive more value for customers.”

Arntz joins Smartsheet at a time of rapid growth, when the company is poised to be a dominant player in the rapidly expanding collaborative work management and process automation market. In September, it was announced that Smartsheet achieved more than 70 percent year-over-year revenue growth for the fifth consecutive year, and has seen greater than triple-digit growth in enterprises paying more than $100,000 in annual subscription value.

“Smartsheet has a big and growing market opportunity to go after and, as a sales leader, you can't ask for much more than that,” said Arntz. “The market is rapidly recognizing the need for what we do, and as more enterprises look to manage collaborative work and automate processes, it’s my goal that they see Smartsheet’s platform as the obvious answer.”
