Five winners, five values, one extraordinary quarter. At Smartsheet, our success is fueled by the collective drive of our people. This quarter, we’re proud to recognize five Magic Maker winners who have truly embodied our values. Nominated by their peers who work alongside them and see their commitment every day, these individuals represent our culture in its best form. Join us in celebrating their dedication to excellence and our shared mission!
Francisco is being recognized for the thoughtful, forward-looking impact he has made within Software Asset Management. With a sharp eye for both efficiency and continuity, he helped drive on-time renewals, uncovered opportunities to reduce licenses, and right-sized software environments to eliminate unnecessary spend — delivering meaningful cost savings while reducing risk across the business. His proactive approach to renewal tracking helped keep contracts on course with no lapses or service interruptions, reinforcing confidence and stability for teams across the company. Francisco also went above and beyond by partnering to build the New Software Request Form within FreshService, creating a streamlined intake process for IT and Security review before requests moved to Procurement. His work reflects what it means to Picture the win: anticipating needs, improving systems, and helping the business move forward with clarity and care.
What Francisco’s coworkers say:
“Francisco doesn’t just manage assets; he manages outcomes. His work on the FreshService intake process has saved our teams countless hours of back-and-forth, making the entire approval pipeline more transparent and efficient.”
“Francisco’s proactive mindset keeps us ahead of the curve and ensures we are always getting the most value out of our technology investment.”
Francisco, what does this award mean to you?
“Winning the Magic Maker award means the world to me because it comes directly from the people I work with every day. In any role, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind of tasks and deadlines, but this recognition reminds me that how we work together matters just as much as what we deliver. It validates my passion for solving complex problems, automating workflows, and bringing positive energy to the team. To know that my contributions genuinely make a difference and help lift others up is the ultimate motivation to keep creating magic here."
Erin earned this recognition for bringing clarity, momentum, and excellence to highly complex work. She led the Citrin Cooperman Smartsheet engagement, a high-stakes Blackstone PortCo project valued at approximately $600k, aligning more than 100 stakeholders across five service lines, including Data/AI and Digital Transformation. Erin built and managed a detailed 1,185-hour delivery plan and proactively engaged engineering leadership when Resource Management constraints created risk, helping remove bottlenecks and keep progress moving. Beyond this major engagement, she also pioneered the use of AI tools to evolve change management processes and tailor executive-level communications for customers like Boehringer, helping elevate Professional Services delivery standards. Trusted as a mentor and admired as a role model, Erin consistently Makes it happen by turning complexity into coordinated action and delivering results with confidence.
What Erin’s coworkers say:
“Erin doesn't just manage projects; she creates the momentum necessary to turn massive challenges into reality.”
“Erin turned a complex vision into a major win for this strategic customer (who is already interested in purchasing more licenses and services!).”
Erin, what does this award mean to you?
“It means a lot — but honestly, it reflects the people and accounts I get to work with as much as anything I've done individually. So much of what I do is collaborative, whether that's working alongside my team on complex implementations, partnering closely with stakeholders, or figuring out how to push what's possible with the platform. Being recognized for that work is humbling and motivating at the same time — it reinforces that the extra effort to deliver something meaningful actually lands. I'm grateful for it and excited to keep building on it!”
Ryan is being honored for his exceptional ownership and ability to drive progress through ambiguity. Across several complex, cross-functional initiatives, Ryan has been an indispensable execution partner, trusted to carry difficult work from planning through completion. On the Multi-Year Deals project, a strategic initiative focused on increasing multi-year contract adoption, he played a key role in the Multi-Year Deal Kaizen, contributing his knowledge of the internal selling motions to support team members across sales, operations, and leadership. He was also deeply involved in testing and critical decision-making, helping ensure the work delivered practical value for the teams using it. Ryan made important contributions to the Deal Process Operational Efficiencies project, including championing (with Finance and Field Systems) the ability for sales reps to close future-dated opportunities without needing to log in during time off — a meaningful improvement that removes day-to-day friction for the field. With proactive risk management, strong accountability, and a willingness to challenge the status quo, Ryan continues to Push past limits and create progress that lasts.
What Ryan’s coworkers say:
“His teammates know that when Ryan is on something, it will get done – it’s that confidence that creates real momentum on projects that might otherwise stall.”
“Ryan embodies this value in every sense: he leverages insights, eliminates friction, and never lets momentum slow.”
Ryan, what does this award mean to you?
“The recognition is amazing and I appreciate everyone who thought I deserved this! However, this award is special in a lot of other ways, it tells me that the work our teams have been doing is genuinely making an impact on the people around us, in the ways we intended. It reflects the effort and collaboration of everyone involved (a LOT more than just me), and I'm proud to be part of that. At the same time, it reminds me there's still more to do, more problems to solve, and more ways to support the people I work with.”
Carmelina is being recognized for the accountability, care, and determination she brings to every part of the customer journey. Alongside meeting her sales quota, she has been a foundational force for her team, taking full ownership of outcomes and stepping up wherever needed. Her impact was especially clear in securing a three-year renewal with Menarini, described as the most strategic account in the Italian territory. Carmelina led that high-pressure negotiation with focus and precision, ensuring every deliverable met a high standard for the customer. She also consistently supports colleagues across Sales and Customer Success, showing that she is just as committed to the team’s shared success as she is to her own results. Her customer-first mindset, relentless work ethic, and ability to stay solution-focused under pressure have improved team efficiency and reinforced a reputation for excellence and Owning the outcome.
What Carmelina’s coworkers say:
“The impact of her passion is felt across the entire organization; she doesn’t just close deals, she inspires her peers to elevate their own standards of excellence.”
“Carmelina’s energy is infectious; she treats every customer challenge as her own and won’t rest until a solution is found – she truly shines when the pressure is on.”
Carmelina, what does this award mean to you?
“This award doesn't feel like mine — it feels like ours.
Every deal I've closed, every relationship I've built, every community moment I've created has been a team effort. The managers who coached me through complex negotiations. The SEs who jumped on last-minute demos. The CSMs who made customers feel heard. The colleagues who covered my accounts without hesitation. The partners who opened doors I couldn't reach from the UK.
"Magic Maker" suggests I'm the one conjuring something special, but the real magic is having people around you who show up, who care, who make your work possible. This recognition belongs to all of them as much as it does to me.
What winning this award means to me is simple: gratitude. Gratitude for a team that makes me better, and gratitude for a company that values how we sell, not just what we sell.”
