Editor's Note: Google has announced that it will say goodbye to Inbox in March 2019. We invite you to learn more about our Gmail Add-On to keep your email connected to Smartsheet.
Smartsheet’s partnership with Google has been a key part of growing our business and bringing the promise of collaborative work management to life. Google’s dedication to helping their customers connect and get their best work done has made it easy for us to work together over the past ten years. Today, we’re excited to share that our fifteenth Google product integration – Smartsheet for Google Inbox – is now available.
The Need for Seamless Collaboration Has Never Been Greater
Knowledge workers everywhere are being inundated with new productivity solutions at a dizzying rate. Trends like BYOA and BYOD empower us to make productivity choices that work best for our teams. However, they also make it difficult to connect the dots and maintain an audit trail as work is done. Furthermore, time spent moving between apps, logging in, forgetting passwords, and copying and pasting data comes at the expense of higher-value work. Without a connected solution, these apps and tools that have promised to amplify our productivity often turn out to be counter-productive.
Google and Smartsheet integrations offer a connected solution that can help teams be more productive, whether you want to start a Hangout Chat from your sheet, use Google SSO via OAuth to sign into your work with just one password, or connect your Google Calendar with key milestones and deliverable dates defined in your work in Smartsheet.
Smartsheet for Google Inbox
Smartsheet’s integration with Google Inbox layers work management superpowers onto the Gmail add-on, making it even easier to find the right content at the right time, and take action.
With Smartsheet for Inbox, it’s easy to take action on notifications of updates to your sheets. Smartsheet notifications are surfaced in your email’s summary message view – so important updates show up at the top of your inbox.
You can respond to updates and new information without having to switch over to Smartsheet, or simply tap “Open in Smartsheet” to be taken right to the mobile or web app. This is especially helpful if you’re working from a mobile device.
A Meaningful Approach to Collaboration: Smartsheet and Google
Seemingly simple integrations can pack a big punch when it comes to productivity gains. Daily, our G Suite connected customer base lets us know that we’ve found the “sweet spot” they’re looking for with our portfolio of Google integrations.
Smartsheet for Inbox is in good company with the rest of our Google product integrations. Whether importing contacts from Gmail, or keeping files from Google Drive organized in the context of a line item in a project or process, Smartsheet and Google combine to create a seamless experience for our users.
Focus on What Matters, Not How It Gets Done
At Smartsheet, we’re passionate about delivering new and innovative solutions that allow our customers to organize their work, wherever they work. Smartsheet for Inbox is another solid stone along that path. It has been a delight to work with Google for over a decade to bring our technologies together in ways that help our users focus on the work that matters, not how it gets done.
