Product Manager I (Hybrid in Bangalore)

We’re thrilled to be expanding Smartsheet’s footprint into India and we’re looking for a Product Manager I to be part of this incredible journey! Join our growing Product Organization and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of Smartsheet’s global success. You’ll help design and deliver innovative capabilities that empower our customers to drive meaningful change within their organizations. This is your chance to be part of something new, bold, and impactful. You will be helping to build Smartsheet’s product excellence from the ground up in India.
You’ll report to our Group Product Manager and collaborate with passionate teams across the globe to define the future of work collaboration.
You Will:
- Support the Product Strategy: Assist in defining the product vision and strategy by gathering insights from company objectives, customer feedback, and industry trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, and research teams to help create compelling, high-quality customer experiences.
- Data Analysis: Use internal and external data to support experimentation, guide product decisions, and evaluate the success of features.
- Hypothesis Testing: Work alongside research, product design, and analytics teams to support quantitative experiments and iterative development.
- Documentation: Write clear and concise product requirements, execution plans, and documentation.
- Communication: Communicate feature status, insights, and key updates to the wider team.
- Team Support: Operate at a tactical level to support the successful execution of the product roadmap and assist the team with other duties as needed.
- Market Research: Understand the competitive landscape by tracking key competitors, analyzing their features, and identifying market opportunities and threats.
- Support other duties as needed.
You Have:
- 1-2 years of experience in product management, product owner, or a relevant supporting role (e.g., business analyst, associate PM).
- Experience partnering closely with engineering, design, or user research teams.
- A passion for making customers and colleagues successful and creating high-quality user experiences.
- A data-driven mentality with a foundational understanding of metrics, analytics, and experimentation.
- Experience or familiarity with agile development processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to document requirements and communicate clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective cross-team partnerships.
- A technical degree, or equivalent experience working closely with engineers.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience building or integrating with iPaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with scripting logic, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Background in developer relations, technical architecture, or solutions engineering.
