Senior Product Manager, Field Systems (Salesforce)
For over 20 years, Smartsheet has helped people and teams achieve–well, anything. From seamless work management to smart, scalable solutions, we’ve always worked with flow. We’re building tools that empower teams to automate the manual, uncover insights, and scale smarter. But more than that, we’re creating space– space to think big, take action, and unlock the kind of work that truly matters. Because when challenge meets purpose, and passion turns into progress, that’s magic at work, and it’s what we show up for everyday.
Smartsheet is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Field Systems team, the group responsible for designing, evolving, and scaling the Salesforce-based systems that power our go-to-market operations. You will co-own the product roadmap and serve as the connective tissue between business stakeholders and an agile delivery team to ensure the right work gets prioritized, scoped, and shipped at the right time.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of enterprise systems, business strategy, and agile execution. You'll thrive here if you love translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements, leveraging modern AI tools to work smarter and faster, and partnering closely with sales, marketing, finance, and customer success to drive measurable outcomes.
You will report to our Director, Field Systems. This is a remote eligible position and you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is registered.
You Will:
- Partner with the Director of Field Systems to define, maintain, and communicate a prioritized product roadmap aligned to company go-to-market objectives
- Continuously assess the value, urgency, and feasibility of roadmap initiatives to ensure the team is always working on the highest-impact problems
- Translate strategic priorities into quarterly PI (Program Increment) objectives within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Engage directly with internal stakeholders including Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success and Technical Support to deeply understand pain points, workflows, and business goals
- Define clear epics, features, and user stories with well-articulated acceptance criteria.
- Lead discovery activities including stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs, and data analysis to inform solution design
- Leverage AI tools such as Claude and Gemini to accelerate requirements documentation, synthesize stakeholder feedback, draft communications, and surface insights from data bringing a modern, AI-augmented approach to everyday PM work
- Serve as the Product Owner for the agile team, owning and grooming the team backlog to ensure a healthy queue of well-refined work
- Actively participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and System Demos
- Make real-time prioritization and trade-off decisions to keep the team moving and unblocked
- Maintain transparent, proactive communication with stakeholders on roadmap status, delivery timelines, and change impacts
- Build trust with business partners by consistently delivering on commitments and surfacing risks early
- Collaborate with change management and enablement teams to ensure successful adoption of new capabilities
- Define success metrics for features and initiatives; track outcomes post-deployment and use data to inform future prioritization
- Drive retrospective insights from delivery into roadmap refinement and team process improvements
You Have:
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on CRM or Salesforce platform products in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience working within SAFe or agile framework, including PI Planning and cross-team coordination
- Strong product sense with experience balancing user needs, business value, and technical feasibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present confidently to senior leaders and technical teams alike
- Experience writing detailed epics and features, lean business cases, and user stories with strong assumptions and acceptance criteria
- Comfort with data including the ability to query data, interpret metrics, and build business cases
- Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst certification
- Experience supporting sales operations, revenue operations, or marketing operations functions
- Familiarity with CPQ, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud implementations
- Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) applied to PM workflows such as documentation, research, or analysis.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
