Smartsheet Honored as Winner of Seattle Business Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For 2014
Bellevue, Wash. – June 18, 2014 - Smartsheet, the collaborative work management tool used by more than 45,000 paying organizations and millions of users worldwide, today announced it has received the highly coveted Seattle Business magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For award. Seattle Business magazine honored the winners, hailing from 18 cities across the state, at an awards dinner on June 17, 2014 at The Westin, Seattle.
Smartsheet, a first time entrant, not only ranked in the top 100 in the state, but was chosen as the winner in their category largely based on extensive surveys filled out by its employees. Employees ranked the company based on a wide variety of factors, including its corporate culture, benefits program, communication practices, employee development, and management team.
“Our goal is to build a successful, lasting company and create a place where our employees can have a direct and meaningful impact on our customers, their careers, and those with whom they work,” said Mark Mader, CEO and president of Smartsheet. “We’re honored to receive this award, and look forward to continuing to build a world-class team to capitalize on the amazing opportunity ahead.”
Based in Bellevue, WA, Smartsheet last month announced an additional $35 million in funding and plans to double its workforce next year (current job openings). The company’s award-winning spreadsheet-like work management tool is deployed in a broad range of customer environments, from large enterprises including Google, Netflix, GSA, Groupon, ESPN, Sony Music and HomeAway, to small and medium-sized organizations such as Eli Lilly Federal Credit Union, Loyola University and Cypress Grove Chevre.
