Smartsheet Welcomes Geoffrey Barker to its Board of Directors

Bellevue, WA - September 24, 2012  Smartsheet, a leading collaborative work platform provider, announced today that Geoffrey Barker has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Barker is an Executive Director and co-founder of RPX Corporation, a leading provider of patent risk management solutions. He joins Matt McIlwain from Madrona Venture Group, as well as Smartsheet executives on the Board, and has also made a personal investment in the company.

Barker began his career in the financial services industry as a trader and investment banker.  In addition to RPX (Nasdaq: RPXC), he co-founded both The Cobalt Group, which was ultimately acquired by ADP for $400 million, as well as Vigilos Inc.  He holds a BA in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia University.  Earlier this year, he was a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for Northern California.
