Bellevue, Wash., August 15, 2019 -- Today we announced Smartsheet Gov achieved Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). This means Smartsheet is now the only work execution platform to be fully approved for use by federal agencies and government contractors, giving them the ability to plan, capture, manage, automate, and report on work at scale.
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. The FedRAMP Marketplace lists authorized offerings to help agencies research and select secure cloud providers available for use.
Smartsheet Gov was prioritized by the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) in late July 2018 for authorization, as part of the FedRAMP Connect program based on demand from federal agencies. Gaining admittance to the marketplace with JAB oversight is one of the most complex and stringent compliance processes a cloud services provider can undertake — achieving authorization is a major milestone I’m proud Smartsheet Gov reached today.
