Now when new forms get created in Smartsheet, they will default to a vertical layout, rather than the prior “side-by-side” (formerly known as Modern) layout. Users can still change the layout back to side-by-side in Form Settings if desired. We also implemented the following changes with this release:
- “Modern” has been renamed to “Side-by-side”
- “Classic” has been renamed to “Vertical”
- Vertical layout now matches the view in the mobile app
- Moved the form title and description in the vertical form layout above the white form box and onto the background in both the builder and render
