Deanna Vandermeer is the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of Curriculum & Learning Design for Mesa County Valley School District 51 in Grand Junction, Colorado. After three decades in education administration, she stumbled upon Smartsheet two years ago and it has completely changed her life and work, for the better. Deanna uses Smartsheet to support multiple departments, budgets, inventories, and programs. She's known for problem solving and solution building, and with increased productivity, Smartsheet has enabled her to focus her time and efforts towards helping other departments and teams within the District.

Joe Lawless

Director - Application Development , GSA

Joe Lawless is the Director of Enterprise Platform Solutions at the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Office of the Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for the management of over 80 enterprise applications as well as multiple shared services including document/records management, digital signature, API management and Customer Relationship Management. Before becoming Director of Enterprise Platform Solutions, he has spent the past 16 years supporting application development and operations efforts at other Federal agencies and in the Department of Defense as a Civil Servant and as a Naval Officer. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he has a degree in Computer Science and served in the Information Dominance Corps.

Doug Perry

Deputy CIO , NOAA

Douglas Perry has 30+ years of public service as an electronics engineer and information technology manager at NOAA. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service and joined the Office of the CIO to lead IT operations and transformation initiatives as the Deputy Chief Information Officer in July 2016. Prior to joining the OCIO, he served as the Assistant CIO for Marine and Aviation Operations and oversaw IT operations and service delivery to NOAA’s ship and aircraft fleet. Perry received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He also obtained a certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University and is an alumnus of the Federal Executive Institute.
